## About the Role As a Staff Solutions Architect at Gitlab, you will be at the intersection of customer outcomes, modern software delivery, cloud, security, and emerging agentic AI workflows. Your primary focus will be on helping prospects and customers understand how Gitlab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform can support their technical requirements and business goals across the software development lifecycle. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding teams through complex evaluations and digital transformation. Reporting to a regional Solutions Architect leader, you will work closely with Account Executives and cross-functional partners across APJ.

The role entails working at the forefront of innovation, with a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to connect these needs back to Gitlab's product direction. You will be expected to build strong relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders, strengthening alignment and shortening decision cycles. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping technical account strategies, running technical discovery sessions, and owning technical evaluations.

## What You Will Do - Work with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape technical account strategies that increase qualified pipeline and support expansion opportunities.

• Run technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and validation activities to define success criteria and accelerate technical validation across the software development lifecycle.
• Own technical evaluations as the primary point of contact, including proof of concept and proof of value activities, solution design, and workshop delivery that produce documented outcomes and clear next-step decisions.
• Develop solution architectures that align Gitlab capabilities with customer environments, priorities, and operating models to reduce implementation risk and speed time to value.
• Guide customers on modern software development practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud adoption, to improve delivery consistency and security readiness.
• Build strong relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders to strengthen alignment, shorten decision cycles, and support Gitlab-based transformation efforts.
• Create reusable technical examples, best practices, and collateral that improve the sales process and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and to identify new business opportunities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity, applying this knowledge to improve Gitlab's market position and customer value proposition.

## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in a solutions architecture or similar role, preferably in the DevSecOps or software development industry.

• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools, including Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment, with a high degree of autonomy and self-motivation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions.
• Experience with AI-driven solutions and emerging technologies, such as agentic AI workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

## Nice to Have - Experience with sales and account management, including sales strategy development and execution.

• Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
• Certification in cloud computing, DevSecOps, or a related field.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
