About the Role
As a Staff Structural Engineer at Arcadis, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers innovative and high-quality design solutions for projects across various sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, technology, utilities, and rail. Your expertise will play a crucial role in leading key project components, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to tackle complex structural challenges. As a senior member of the team, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the growth and development of the team.

What You Will Do
- Lead key project components, including establishing codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools
- Perform technical work with an increased level of complexity, including seismic analysis and design
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors
- Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents
- Exercise judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
- Perform Construction Administration duties, including completing field observation reports, responding to RFIs, and submittal reviews
- Travel as needed for project-related activities, including client meetings and site visits
- Work directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions
- Contribute to the development of innovative design solutions and new business opportunities
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the team
What We Are Looking For
- 6 or more years of relevant structural engineering project experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or Senior EIT candidate looking to write their PE exam in the next 6 months
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking and initiative
- Excellent working knowledge of all USA National codes and standards, such as IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.
- Strong technical software skills related to RISA, ETABS, BIM tools, Revit, and AutoCAD
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Experience with seismic analysis and design
- Knowledge of sustainable design and engineering principles
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Certification in a related field, such as LEED or SE
