About the Role
The Starlink Growth Manager position is a unique opportunity to own the consumer subscriber growth strategy and execution for California. As a key member of the Growth Team, you will be responsible for building and executing local growth strategies through partnerships, sales, affiliates, field marketing, events, and other awareness and growth initiatives. Your primary focus will be on expanding Starlink's consumer presence across the state, with a strong emphasis on awareness, acquisition, and performance.As the local market owner for California, you will serve as the face of Starlink in external discussions with prospective commercial partners and community stakeholders. Your ability to operate independently, think creatively, and build scalable growth engines will be essential in driving Starlink's expansion in the region. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, marketing, operations, engineering, and finance, to execute growth programs and develop new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong execution mindset, with experience in business development, partnerships, growth, and/or sales within consumer technology, telecommunications, or subscription-based services. A deep understanding of consumer purchasing behavior in California, particularly in rural areas, will be highly valued.
What You Will Do
- Own and execute the consumer subscriber growth strategy for California, focusing on partnerships, sales, and awareness initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including commercial partners, community organizations, and local governments
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships with internet service providers, affiliates, utilities, retailers, installers, real estate partners, and community organizations
- Drive deal execution from opportunity identification through commercial agreements and partner launch
- Represent Starlink in external discussions with prospective commercial partners and community stakeholders
- Lead local marketing and awareness initiatives, including field marketing, community events, trade shows, retail activations, and grassroots campaigns
- Build and maintain Starlink's brand presence and visibility throughout the state
- Collect and synthesize customer and partner feedback to influence product offerings, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches
- Track and report on subscriber acquisition performance, partner productivity, and campaign/growth initiative ROI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute scalable growth programs and develop new business opportunities
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, growth, sales, marketing, consulting, or operations
- Strong execution mindset with the ability to operate independently in the field
- Experience building and scaling local or regional partnerships and distribution channels
- Experience running local marketing, field marketing, or community growth initiatives
- Previous experience launching and growing products within California
- Demonstrated success owning projects end-to-end and driving business growth
- Strong understanding of consumer purchasing behavior in California, particularly in rural areas
- Experience working with consumer technology, telecommunications, broadband, utilities, or subscription-based services
