About the Role

The Startup Growth Marketing Manager position at Intercom is a unique opportunity to leverage data-driven marketing strategies to drive acquisition, activation, and retention of startup customers. As part of the startup programs team, this role will focus on building repeatable demand engines, running experiments across product and marketing channels, and translating ecosystem relationships into measurable commercial results.

The ideal candidate will have experience in growth marketing, a strong understanding of startup ecosystems, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

  • Own the annual growth marketing plan for startup segments, aligning paid, owned, and partner channels to drive demand.
  • Translate partner-led opportunities into marketing campaigns, prioritizing funnels and high-potential cohorts based on commercial impact and scale potential.
  • Define KPIs, own attribution for multi-touch partner ecosystems, and build dashboards that tie marketing activity to customers and revenue.
  • Create content that drives discoverability and conversion, including case studies, playbooks, founder stories, and newsletters.
  • Ensure content maps to funnel stages and supports acquisition and activation goals.
  • Test new program offers that deliver value to founders and drive demand.
  • Design and run performance acquisition across startup communities, search, social, display, and partnerships to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Build co-marketing activations with VCs, accelerators, and platform partners to improve reach.
  • Market virtual and in-person events to drive mindshare and customer engagement.
  • Launch cohort or seasonal campaigns targeting VC/accelerator-backed startups and measure downstream logo and revenue impact.
  • Run a disciplined experimentation program with clear hypotheses and success criteria.
  • Surface statistical learnings, codify wins, and scale reliable growth levers into repeatable or sunset projects.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, preferably in a startup or tech company.
  • Strong understanding of startup ecosystems, including VCs, accelerators, and tech partners.
  • Experience with data analysis tools, such as Excel, and the ability to define and track KPIs.
  • Proven track record of driving acquisition, activation, and retention through data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong content creation skills, with the ability to develop engaging content that drives conversion.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and the ability to build and execute campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with AI-powered customer service platforms.
