About the Role

Invisible Technologies is seeking a skilled STEM Specialist to join their team as an AI Trainer. As a specialist in mathematics, physics, chemistry, or engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of AI by providing high-quality training data to large-scale language models. Your expertise will enable these models to become powerful engines of scientific discovery and technical problem-solving.

The role entails conversing with advanced language models on real-world STEM problem-solving scenarios and theoretical technical questions, verifying factual accuracy, and documenting every failure mode to harden model reasoning. You will work closely with a team of experts to ensure the development of robust and reliable AI models.

What You Will Do

  • Converse with advanced language models on real-world STEM problem-solving scenarios and theoretical technical questions
  • Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses
  • Document every failure mode to harden model reasoning and improve overall performance
  • Challenge advanced language models on topics like thermodynamics, mechanics, calculus, statistics, materials science, electronics, algorithm design, and quantitative modeling
  • Capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of robust and reliable AI models
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in STEM fields

What We Are Looking For

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM discipline (mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering, data science, computer science, or scientific computing)
  • Published research, engineering design experience, data analysis projects, or coding portfolios that demonstrate expertise in STEM fields
  • Clear and metacognitive communication skills, with the ability to 'show your work' and explain complex concepts in simple terms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and concepts
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, or data science is a plus
