About the Role

The Store Manager position at Pep Boys is a critical role that oversees the day-to-day operations of a store, ensuring that sales goals are met across service labor, parts, and fleet business. What You Will Do

  • Maintain overall responsibility for achieving sales goals across service labor, parts, and fleet business
  • Provide inspirational leadership and direction to service selling and back shop teams
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and manage a team of associates
  • Train and coach service selling associates on customer care processes and store systems
  • Ensure the execution of customer service standards and customer satisfaction programs
  • Monitor shop productivity, workflow, and procedures with an emphasis on efficiency, thoroughness, and safety
  • Partner with the Fleet business team to maintain and build Fleet service customer relationships
  • Advise associates, technicians, and customers on tires, parts, and service programs
  • Effectively communicate with all store associates, managers, and customers
  • Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the back shop
  • Ensure the equitable resolution of customer complaints

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience in an automotive service environment
  • Completion of a two-year college, technical program, or one to three years of service industry experience
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle difficult customer situations
  • Comfortable utilizing up-sell techniques
  • Strong cash handling skills, including the use of POS systems
  • Strong verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with digital marketing and social media platforms
