What You Will Do
- Design and deliver stormwater solutions for residential subdivisions, ensuring compliance with NSW local council requirements and Australian standards
- Prepare stormwater management plans, drainage layouts, and engineering reports, leveraging your expertise in hydraulic modelling
- Perform hydrological and hydraulic modelling using tools like DRAINS, MUSIC, or HEC-RAS
- Review and optimise designs for cost-efficiency and constructability, ensuring that the solutions meet the required standards
- Coordinate with civil engineers, surveyors, councils, and approval authorities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality documentation
- Support DA and CC submissions, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the process
- Liaise with the development team to ensure that the stormwater solutions align with the project's objectives and requirements
- Prepare and review engineering reports and supporting documentation, ensuring that they meet the required standards
- Collaborate with the team to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with stormwater management
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in Australian residential subdivision projects, with a strong understanding of stormwater compliance and regulations
- Experience with hydraulic modelling tools like DRAINS, MUSIC, or HEC-RAS
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with the ability to prepare engineering reports and supporting documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing technical support and guidance throughout the project
- Strong understanding of NSW local council requirements and Australian standards, with experience in preparing and reviewing engineering reports
- Experience with WSUD principles and On-Site Detention (OSD) systems
- Knowledge of flood studies and overland flow path design, with experience in subdivision earthworks and road design coordination
