About the Role
As a Strategic Account Executive at Twilio, you will be responsible for leading relationships with growth and mid-market Communications platform customers. Your expertise in managing complex sales cycles and developing strong relationships will be instrumental in driving growth and protecting Twilio's communications business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, support, and operations, to identify new revenue opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences.The role entails developing and executing account strategies, managing sales pipelines, and presenting guidance to executive management. You will serve as a trusted advisor to your customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals. With a strong focus on analytical and consultative sales, you will leverage your expertise in Salesforce and Excel to drive revenue growth and deliver strong results.
What You Will Do
- Manage and expand key ISV customer accounts to drive revenue growth and protect Twilio's communications business
- Develop, drive, and execute account strategies to consistently deliver strong revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to identify new revenue opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Serve on a cross-functional account team with representatives from product, finance, support, and services teams
- Run a disciplined forecast, consistently achieving goals and presenting guidance to executive management
- Run highly consultative sales cycles with large customers, focusing on deep discovery and understanding customer needs
- Generate and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using Salesforce
- Stay current with industry changes and collaborate with your team and peers to learn and share best practices
What We Are Looking For
- 8 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to major account or strategic sales
- Expertise in managing or leading quantitative, highly analytical products and solutions for customers
- Experience with relationship management, cross-sells, upsells, and solutions consulting
- Comfortable working with business and highly technical leaders, influencing their understanding and building supportive partnerships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive complex sales cycles
- Experience with Salesforce and Excel, with strong data analysis and management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams
Nice to Have
- Experience working with ISV customers or in the communications industry
- Knowledge of cloud-based communications platforms and technologies
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Certification in sales or a related field, such as CSPO or SCPC
