About the Role

The Strategic Account Executive 4 role at Twilio is a critical position that requires a unique blend of sales, technical, and relationship-building skills. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for leading relationships with growth and mid-market customers, driving revenue growth, and expanding Twilio's presence in the market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, support, and operations, to identify new revenue opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the communications platform industry, a strong track record of success in managing complex sales cycles, and excellent relationship-building skills. You will be responsible for developing and executing account strategies, identifying new revenue opportunities, and driving sales growth.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and expand existing customer accounts, identifying new revenue opportunities and driving sales growth
  • Develop and execute account strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer accounts, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with product management, finance, support, and operations teams to identify new revenue opportunities and drive sales growth
  • Run disciplined sales cycles, consistently achieving sales targets and presenting guidance to executive management
  • Generate and maintain accurate sales pipelines and forecasts using Salesforce
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments, collaborating with the team to share best practices and drive continuous improvement
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Twilio's products and services, providing technical guidance and support to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations, product demos, and other sales materials to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to major account or strategic sales
  • Proven track record of success in managing complex sales cycles and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Strong understanding of the communications platform industry, with a deep knowledge of Twilio's products and services
  • Experience working with Salesforce, with the ability to generate and maintain accurate sales pipelines and forecasts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demos
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop tailored solutions
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the sales process and the ability to drive revenue growth
