About the Role
The Strategic Account Executive 4 position at Twilio is a critical role that involves leading relationships with growth and mid-market Communications platform customers. As a key member of the sales team, you'll be responsible for protecting and growing Twilio's communications business across your assigned customers. This role requires a deep understanding of the customer's needs and the ability to drive highly analytical and consultative sales cycles.The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale customer accounts, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding existing relationships. You'll be working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, support, and operations, to identify new revenue opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What You Will Do
- Manage and expand existing customer accounts in the growth and mid-market segments
- Develop, drive, and execute account strategies to deliver strong revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify new revenue opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Serve on a cross-functional account team with representatives from product, finance, support, and services teams
- Run a disciplined forecast, consistently achieve goals, and present guidance to executive management
- Run highly consultative sales cycles with large customers, focusing on deep discovery and understanding their needs
- Generate and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using Salesforce
- Stay current with industry changes and collaborate with your team and peers to learn and share best practices
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact customer relationships or revenue growth
What We Are Looking For
- 8 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to major account or strategic sales
- Expertise in managing or leading quantitative, highly analytical products and solutions for customers
- Strong relationship management and account management skills
- Experience with Salesforce and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, finance, support, and operations
- Strong understanding of the cloud communications platform market and trends
Nice to Have
- Experience working with large-scale, global, competitively sourced, compliance-heavy, use case-specific businesses
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in sales and customer experience
