About the Role

As a Strategic Account Executive 4 at Twilio, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and managing key customer relationships within the retail vertical. What You Will Do

  • Manage and expand key retail customer accounts to achieve strong revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results
  • Develop, drive, and execute account strategies to deliver exceptional customer experiences and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, support, and operations, to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs
  • Run disciplined forecasts, consistently achieve goals, and present guidance to executive management
  • Serve on a cross-functional account team with representatives from product, finance, support, and services teams
  • Run highly consultative sales cycles with large-scale, global customers, focusing on deep discovery and customer needs
  • Generate and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast utilizing Salesforce
  • Establish yourself as a trusted subject matter expert and share industry updates and changes with the GTM sales organization
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities within your assigned customer portfolio
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Twilio's products and services, as well as the retail industry and market trends

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 1 year dedicated to major account or strategic sales
  • Proven expertise in managing or leading quantitative, highly analytical products and solutions for customers
  • Accountable for relationship management, cross-sells, upsells, and solutions consulting
  • Strong understanding of the retail industry and market trends, with a focus on cloud-based communication solutions
  • Experience with Salesforce and Excel, with the ability to generate and maintain accurate sales pipelines and forecasts
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build deep partnerships with cross-functional teams and customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive highly consultative sales cycles and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
