About the Role
The Strategic Account Executive role at Twilio is a unique opportunity to develop and grow relationships with influential nonprofits and social enterprises worldwide. As a key member of the Twilio.org team, you will work closely with the sales and finance teams to refine the customer acquisition and growth strategy. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include building trust-based relationships with executive stakeholders, creating and executing multi-year strategic account plans, and identifying new opportunities for growth.The ideal candidate will have a rare combination of sales or consulting experience in the non-profit or social impact space, business acumen, and technical savvy. What You Will Do
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic social impact and nonprofit accounts, with accountability for net-new bookings, expansion, and long-term revenue growth.
- Develop deep, trust-based relationships with executive stakeholders and key decision-makers by understanding each organization’s mission, funding model, priorities, and technology ecosystem.
- Create and execute multi-year strategic account plans that align Twilio.org solutions to customer outcomes, social impact goals, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities while also driving expansion within existing accounts through cross-sell, upsell, and programmatic growth plays.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers by mapping Twilio capabilities to real-world impact use cases.
- Leverage your public sector and social impact expertise to design scalable engagement models that amplify reach and measurable outcomes.
- Partner with Twilio’s ecosystem to unlock co-sell motions, funding pathways, and broader market access.
- Maintain a healthy, forward-looking pipeline that balances near-term and long-term goals.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of sales or consulting experience in the non-profit or social impact space.
- Strong business acumen and technical savvy, with experience working with GTM, Salesforce, and Excel.
- Proven track record of driving growth and revenue expansion in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with executive stakeholders.
- Experience working with programmatic and digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of the non-profit and social impact sectors, with a passion for driving social change.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies.
- Knowledge of the public sector and government funding models.
- Certification in sales or consulting, such as a CPSA or CMC designation.
