## About the Role As a Strategic Account Executive at Gitlab, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's presence across Belgium and Luxembourg. This involves building and maintaining trusted relationships with senior leaders at large organizations, guiding them through complex platform decisions, and using a consultative sales approach to connect customer business needs with Gitlab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform. The role is crucial in helping teams improve developer productivity, reduce security and compliance risk, and move software delivery forward with more confidence.
The position requires a deep understanding of the BeLux market, the ability to work across pre-sales, post-sales, partner, marketing, and support teams, and strong account leadership skills. You will be responsible for developing new opportunities, creating account plans, and ensuring successful adoption of Gitlab's platform among customers. Your primary focus will be on large organizations, where you will lead strategic account activity, provide direction throughout pre-sales and post-sales engagements, and develop opportunities through prospecting, relationship building, and a consultative understanding of customer business needs.

## What You Will Do - Lead strategic account activity for large prospects and customers across Belgium and Luxembourg, providing direction throughout pre-sales and post-sales engagements.
- Develop opportunities within enterprise accounts through prospecting, relationship building, and a consultative understanding of customer business needs.
- Create account plans and customer proposals that clearly connect Gitlab capabilities to organizational priorities and transformation goals.
- Work closely with pre-sales, post-sales, partner, marketing, and support teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer engagement.
- Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer business needs and connect them with Gitlab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform.
- Guide customers through complex platform decisions, ensuring successful adoption and implementation of Gitlab's solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders at large organizations, building trust and credibility through consistent delivery and follow-through.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies, using this insight to inform sales strategies and approaches.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and refine sales strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Provide clear, regular communication to customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and visibility into sales activity and progress.
- Deep understanding of the BeLux market, including key industries, trends, and players, as well as the ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Strong consultative sales skills, with the ability to understand customer business needs and connect them with technical solutions.
- Experience with DevSecOps platforms and AI-powered solutions, or a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Fluency in English, French, and Dutch, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, computer science, or engineering.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
- Certification in sales or a related field, such as a CSP or CSS.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
