About the Role

The Strategic Account Executive - Enterprise role is a critical position that drives business growth through the development and execution of strategic sales plans. This involves identifying, qualifying, and managing sales opportunities within complex enterprises, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, and collaborating with internal teams to maximize deal sizes. The role requires a deep understanding of enterprise technologies and the ability to articulate business value to a wide range of personas.

As a key member of the sales team, the Strategic Account Executive will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales Development Representatives, Solutions Architects, Customer Success, and Partner/Channel teams. This collaborative approach ensures that sales strategies are aligned with business objectives and that customer needs are met.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a new business and expansion sales strategy within an assigned territory
  • Identify, qualify, and manage sales opportunities within complex enterprises
  • Build strong, multi-threaded account relationships with CXO and VP-level contacts
  • Collaborate with partner and channel teams to generate opportunities and maximize deal sizes
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to closing deals
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Sales Development Representatives, Solutions Architects, Customer Success, and Partner/Channel teams
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of enterprise technologies and their applications
  • Articulate business value to a wide range of personas, from technical to non-technical stakeholders
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform sales strategies and optimize results
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and revenue growth

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of field sales experience, preferably in the SaaS space
  • A track record of success selling into net new Fortune 500 accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to overachieve quota (
    M+ ARR)
  • Strong understanding of complex enterprise technologies and their applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Experience using Salesforce.com CRM and other sales tools
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing sales landscapes
  • Strong desire to succeed and grow in a sales leadership role

Nice to Have

  • Experience using Command of the Message and qualifying through MEDDIC
  • Experience with VMware, Microsoft, and/or Citrix or other work in the IT industry
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies and frameworks, such as Challenger Selling or Solution Selling
  • Certification in sales or a related field, such as a CSP or CSS
