About the Role

The Strategic Account Executive role at Gitlab is a critical position that requires building trusted relationships with senior leaders at large organizations within the retail and media sectors in France. As a strategic account executive, you will be responsible for guiding these leaders through complex platform decisions, using a consultative sales approach to connect customer business needs with Gitlab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform. This role is focused on new logos and some existing business, and you will be expected to support strategic accounts across the full customer journey, from early conversations through adoption.

What You Will Do

  • Lead strategic account activity for large prospects and customers, providing direction throughout pre-sales and post-sales engagements.
  • Develop opportunities within enterprise accounts through prospecting, relationship building, and a consultative understanding of customer business needs.
  • Create account plans and customer proposals that clearly connect Gitlab capabilities to organizational priorities and transformation goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive customer outcomes and position Gitlab as a leading DevSecOps partner in the French market.
  • Use a consultative sales approach to connect customer business needs with Gitlab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform.
  • Support strategic accounts across the full customer journey, from early conversations through adoption.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer business needs and industry trends.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders at large organizations within the retail and media sectors in France.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field, with a focus on strategic account management.
  • Proven track record of success in building and maintaining strong relationships with senior leaders at large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of customer business needs and industry trends in the retail and media sectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive customer outcomes.
  • Experience with AI-powered DevSecOps platforms, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
