About the Role
The Strategic Account Executive role at Yelp is a pivotal position in the company's Restaurants division. As a key player in driving sales growth, you will be responsible for managing your own book of business, prospecting new clients, and negotiating deals. Your day-to-day will involve leveraging your sales expertise to identify business opportunities, build relationships with restaurant owners, and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs. - Manage a portfolio of existing clients, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Yelp's products and services
- Prospect new business leads through targeted outreach and networking efforts
- Conduct needs assessments with potential clients to understand their business goals and challenges
- Develop and present customized sales pitches to prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer complaints and concerns
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and new technologies that may impact the sales process
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships and generate leads
- Provide feedback to internal teams on customer needs and market trends
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, marketing, sales)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in outbound sales, preferably in the SaaS or restaurant technology industry
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing time effectively
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce and Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of the restaurant industry, including trends, challenges, and technologies
- Positive attitude, drive, and resilience in the face of rejection or setbacks
Nice to Have
- Experience with restaurant technology solutions, such as reservation systems or waitlist management tools
- Familiarity with Yelp's products and services, including Yelp Reservations, Waitlist, Connect, and Advertising
- Certification in sales or a related field (e.g., HubSpot Sales Certification)
- Proficiency in a second language, with the ability to communicate with diverse customer base
