About the Role
As a Strategic Account Executive at Cohere, you will play a critical role in driving sales and growth in the telecommunications sector. You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from identifying leads to closing deals with large enterprises. This is a highly self-directed role, requiring a strong ability to work independently and make strategic decisions. You will be the voice of the field, providing valuable insights to our product and engineering teams and helping to prioritize the Cohere roadmap.The telecommunications industry is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by the adoption of AI and digital technologies. What You Will Do
- Focus on net-new logo acquisition via outbound activity and relationship building with key stakeholders
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth in the telecommunications sector
- Work closely with customers and prospects to understand their challenges and goals, and tailor solutions to meet their needs
- Collaborate with channel partners to identify opportunities to scale outreach and customer satisfaction
- Work with product and engineering teams to prioritize the Cohere roadmap and deliver solutions to large enterprise customers
- Develop and maintain a strong network of key decision-maker and influencer contacts in the telecommunications industry
- Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to proof-of-concept, pilot, deal close, and deployment
- Provide ongoing oversight of the project to ensure success and identify opportunities for expansion and growth
- Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives to drive top of funnel activity
- Develop and deliver customer-centric sales pitches and presentations
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of previous B2B sales experience in the telecommunications sector
- Proven track record of success in selling complex products and solutions to large enterprises
- Strong understanding of AI and digital technologies, and their applications in the telecommunications industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy
- Experience working in a fast-paced, self-directed environment, with a strong ability to work independently
- Strong network of key decision-maker and influencer contacts in the telecommunications industry
- Experience with sales development and account management
- Strong understanding of the telecommunications industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
