About the Role

The Strategic Account Executive role at Twilio is a key part of the company's growth strategy in Japan. As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive territory plans to grow existing customers through upsell and cross-sell opportunities. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, solution engineering, partner managers, and product managers, to align shared goals and strategy.

The role entails working closely with customers to understand their needs and developing tailored solutions to meet those needs. You will be the primary point of contact for Twilio's largest and most strategic customers in Japan, and will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with these customers.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive territory plans to grow existing customers through upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, solution engineering, partner managers, and product managers, to align shared goals and strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Twilio's largest and most strategic customers in Japan
  • Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales targets and grow revenue
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within existing customer accounts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to develop and execute go-to-market strategies
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Twilio's products and services, as well as the competitive landscape
  • Forecast sales performance and provide regular updates to management

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in high-touch sales, with a focus on growth strategy development and execution
  • Native-level Japanese language communication skills
  • Experience working with business and technical leaders, influencing their understanding and building supportive partnerships
  • Demonstrated track record of growing business and developing and executing growth strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Experience with cloud-based sales and customer experience management
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute creative solutions
