## About the Role The Strategic Finance Analyst II role at Affirm is a critical position that supports the growth of the company's top-line revenue streams with large business-to-business (B2B) merchant partners. As a key member of the Revenue Finance group, this analyst will drive business outcomes through strategic and analytic support, working closely with cross-functional leaders to inform decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and present to all levels of the organization. The Revenue Finance group is a tight-knit team with a significant impact on the company's growth strategy. Affirm's Finance team is responsible for ensuring the company remains financially sound and strategically positioned for growth. The team manages financial planning, accounting, pricing, vendor management, tax, investor relations, and corporate development, delivering timely insights, accurate reporting, and careful analysis to support decision-making. As a Strategic Finance Analyst II, you will be an integral part of this team, working closely with colleagues to drive business outcomes and achieve company goals. ## What You Will Do - Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytic support - Build and maintain financial models to forecast, reconcile, and describe variances for key metrics - Collaborate with the ML modeling team to integrate modeling with aggregated ML forecasts - Establish top-line performance metrics and targets, analyzing and reporting realized financial performance to executives and other company leaders - Design and deliver scalable automated user and financial dashboards and analytics for cross-departmental and executive consumption - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement - Provide analytic support to inform decision-making, driving business outcomes through data-driven insights - Work closely with the Revenue team to optimize revenue growth and improve profitability - Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and sales leaders - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in financial analysis and planning ## What We Are Looking For - 2+ years of experience in fast-paced analytical roles, such as strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, or analytics - Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, concise reports - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate cross-functional collaborations effectively - High attention to detail, with the ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses with strategic business context - Experience with merchant payments and/or providing analytical support to B2B client relationship and sales teams (a plus) - Excellent working proficiency in Excel, with comfort using SQL, Sigma, Cursor, and/or other data visualization tools - Strong sense of ownership, intention, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to think creatively and critically - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment ## Nice to Have - Experience with Python and/or other programming languages - Familiarity with machine learning models and their application in finance - Knowledge of financial planning and analysis best practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling - Experience working in a remote team environment, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different time zones ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive salary and equity package - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance - Flexible paid time off and remote work arrangements - Professional development opportunities, including training and education programs - Access to cutting-edge technology and tools, including the latest data visualization software - Collaborative and dynamic work environment, with a team of experienced professionals - Opportunity to work on high-impact projects, driving business outcomes and growth
