About the Role
The Strategic Finance Lead role at Perplexity is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a unique blend of financial expertise, analytical skills, and creativity. As a key member of the Strategic Finance team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining core financial models, analyzing business trends, and providing insights to inform strategic decision-making. What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain core financial models, including aggregating projections and feedback from various teams
- Analyze business trends, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial models accurately reflect business goals and objectives
- Develop and implement scalable processes and metrics to improve visibility and decision-making
- Lead special projects related to corporate finance and accounting, as required by C-suite and VPs
- Identify areas for analytical support and drive clarity in critical decision-making
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering, product, growth, and operations teams
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial planning and analysis
What We Are Looking For
- At least 4+ years of experience in strategic finance or FP&A, preferably in a growth-stage startup
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and drive process improvements
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, growth, and operations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a bias for action and a focus on results
- Experience with financial planning and analysis tools, such as Excel, financial modeling software, and data visualization tools
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the technology or AI industry
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or SQL
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Certification in finance or accounting, such as CFA or CPA
