Strategic Finance Lead (Revenue)

About the Role

The Revenue Finance group is a tight-knit team with a significant impact on the company's growth and success. The team is responsible for driving company strategy, empowering executive decision-making with real-time forecasts and analytics, and guiding the company towards achieving its goals. As a Strategic Finance Lead, you will be responsible for building and maintaining financial models, analyzing and reporting financial performance, and providing strategic and analytic support to cross-functional leaders.

What You Will Do

• Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytic support
• Build and maintain financial models to forecast, reconcile, and describe variances for key metrics
• Collaborate with the ML modeling team to marry financial modeling with aggregated ML forecasts
• Establish top-line performance metrics and targets, analyze and report realized financial performance to executives and other company leaders
• Design and deliver scalable automated user and financial dashboards and analytics for cross-departmental and executive consumption
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's financial performance and provide insights to inform business decisions
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, product leaders, and other cross-functional partners
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in finance and analytics

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in fast-paced analytical roles, such as strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, or analytics
• Strong sense of ownership, intention, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to think creatively and critically
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, concise reports
• High attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses with strategic business context
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to navigate cross-functional collaborations effectively and be front and center with company executives
• Curiosity to build things, such as processes, models, and tools, with and for AI
• Experience with merchant payments and/or providing analytical support to B2B client relationship and sales teams is a plus
• Excellent working proficiency in Excel and comfort with SQL, Looker, and/or other data visualization tools

• Experience building contextual models or files
• Knowledge of Python and/or other programming languages
• Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis
