About the Role

The Strategic Partnerships - Credit role at Plaid is a key position that will focus on developing and executing partnerships to drive growth and expansion in the credit and lending space. As a member of the Partnerships team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and sales, to identify and pursue new partnership opportunities. Your primary objective will be to build and nurture strong relationships with key partners, driving revenue growth and expanding Plaid's presence in the market.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to drive growth and expansion in the credit and lending space
  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities, building and nurturing strong relationships with key partners
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and sales, to ensure alignment and effective execution of partnership strategies
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the credit and lending industry
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement partnership plans, including sales, marketing, and product teams
  • Negotiate and close complex partnerships, ensuring that all partnerships are mutually beneficial and aligned with Plaid's strategic objectives
  • Manage and maintain existing partnerships, ensuring that they continue to drive growth and expansion for Plaid
  • Develop and deliver regular reports and updates on partnership performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, identifying opportunities for Plaid to innovate and stay ahead of the competition
  • Collaborate with the product team to develop and launch new products and features that meet the needs of Plaid's partners and customers
  • Work with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and expand Plaid's presence in the market

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of overall work experience, with 8+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or product partnerships experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Experience working in the credit and lending industry, with a deep understanding of the trends and developments shaping the market
  • Proven ability to close and grow large partner relationships, with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and expansion
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop insights that inform partnership strategies
