About the Role
The Strategic Security Advisor position at GuidePoint Security is a senior individual contributor role that requires deep expertise and executive presence to develop consultative relationships with customer leaders. What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain executive-level customer relationships to understand their security challenges and deliver consultative services.
- Identify opportunities for GuidePoint Security solutions and develop strategic plans to address customer security needs.
- Provide advisory excellence through deep cybersecurity expertise and knowledge of industry trends.
- Engage in thought leadership activities, such as speaking at industry events or contributing to cybersecurity publications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective solution delivery.
- Conduct market intelligence to stay abreast of cybersecurity threats and trends.
- Mentor and influence junior team members to enhance their cybersecurity knowledge and skills.
- Participate in other responsibilities as required to support the growth and success of GuidePoint Security.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in advisory, consulting, or senior customer-facing roles.
- Ability to challenge assumptions, clarify goals, and advocate for measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing executive-level customer relationships.
- Deep expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains.
- Strong business acumen and excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Established network and reputation in the New York City cybersecurity community.
- Proficiency in Excel and other relevant tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of cloud security and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
