About the Role
The SVP of Banking Operations is a critical leadership position at Nymbus, responsible for overseeing the full managed services delivery function. This includes contact center operations, digital banking support, fraud operations, onboarding, and lending support. The successful candidate will be accountable for current-state operational excellence, ensuring that clients' needs are met consistently and predictably.As a leader in the financial sector, Nymbus is committed to innovation and excellence. The company's cloud-native core banking platform and managed services model enable community banks and credit unions to compete and grow in a rapidly changing market. The SVP of Banking Operations will play a key role in driving this vision forward, leveraging expertise in Excel, automation, and AI adoption to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
The role is based in Jacksonville, Florida, and reports to the executive leadership team. The SVP of Banking Operations will lead and develop a team of operational leaders, setting performance expectations and optimizing the layer of management beneath them.
What You Will Do
- Lead the full managed services delivery function, including contact center operations, digital banking support, fraud operations, onboarding, and lending support
- Own and oversee end-to-end service delivery across all managed services operational domains
- Hold SLA accountability and ensure client commitments are met consistently and predictably
- Lead and develop two established operational leaders and their teams, setting performance expectations and optimizing the layer of management beneath them
- Serve as the senior escalation point for operational client issues requiring executive-level engagement
- Design and implement an AI-first operating model, leveraging agentic automation and scalable architecture
- Partner with product, engineering, and the Applied AI Practice to identify, prioritize, and implement automation opportunities
- Measure and report on efficiency gains, capacity freed, and quality improvements resulting from AI adoption
- Build and maintain a clear view of where human judgment is required and where it is not, designing accordingly
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key managed services clients, operating as a trusted advisor in a regulated industry context
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in banking operations, with a focus on digital banking and automation
- Proven track record of leadership and team development, with expertise in operational excellence and process optimization
- Strong knowledge of Excel, automation, and AI adoption, with experience in implementing AI-first operating models
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain executive-level relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and process improvement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on innovation and excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Certification in banking or a related field, such as CBA or CFP

- Knowledge of agile methodology and data analytics, with experience in implementing agile processes and analyzing data to drive business decisions
