About the Role
The SVP Operations at Serverfarm will deputize for the COO, providing executive leadership across global operations, strategic priorities, and major business initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving the company's growth, ensuring continuity of decision-making and execution. As a key member of the executive team, the SVP Operations will represent the company's operational interests, translating corporate strategy into actionable plans and long-term growth roadmaps.Serverfarm is at the forefront of the data center industry, revolutionizing how digital infrastructure is managed and secured. With over 750 locations and key customer relationships in 45 countries, the company is well-positioned to capture the growing demand for data center capacity. The SVP Operations will play a critical role in shaping the company's operational governance, performance, and customer service delivery.
What You Will Do
- Deputize for the COO, providing leadership across global operations and strategic priorities
- Represent Operations with Executive Leadership, the Board, investors, and key customers
- Establish and govern global operational standards, SOPs, maintenance frameworks, and KPI frameworks
- Ensure robust compliance frameworks are maintained across all operating regions
- Oversee business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management processes
- Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and efficiency across regions
- Lead the global safety program, ensuring a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance
- Provide executive oversight of critical environment management and lifecycle management of in-life critical assets
- Partner with Development, Construction, and Engineering to embed operational requirements in new designs and retrofits
- Establish executive relationships with key hyperscale, enterprise, and strategic customers
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in operations leadership, preferably in the data center industry
- Strong understanding of operational governance, performance management, and customer service delivery
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
- Experience in strategic planning, business development, and growth initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, investors, and stakeholders
- Experience in compliance, risk management, and regulatory affairs
- Strong knowledge of data center operations, including electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems
Nice to Have
- Experience in AI, cloud migration, or other emerging technologies
- Certification in data center operations, such as Uptime Institute or Data Center Management
- Experience in sustainable data center practices and energy efficiency
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL
- Experience in managing global teams and operations
