About the Role

The Senior Vice President of Professional Services is a pivotal role at Toptal, aimed at driving the growth and operational excellence of the company's professional services function. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and owning the vision, strategy, and execution plan for Toptal's services function, including all service lines. This involves defining the organizational structure and leadership model for the Services teams, ensuring the right roles and capabilities are in place to deliver world-class client outcomes and sustainable growth.

The role demands a hands-on approach, with the SVP acting as the chief architect of solutions to operational problems, constructing frameworks and solving complex issues at scale. This involves partnering closely with Product and Data Engineering to design infrastructure and features that simulate supply-demand scenarios, enabling teams across Toptal to interact with talent as if it were talent-as-a-service. The SVP will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Finance, and Legal, to execute on strategic priorities and company-wide initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Build and own the vision, strategy, and execution plan for Toptal's services function, including all service lines.
  • Define the organizational structure and leadership model for the Services teams, ensuring the right roles and capabilities are in place.
  • Provide hands-on operational leadership, bringing rigor, consistency, and clear accountability to all service lines and functions.
  • Translate high-level business and operational goals into detailed operational roadmaps for all areas of responsibility.
  • Establish scalable processes and systems to ensure delivery excellence, efficiency, and client satisfaction at scale.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Legal to execute on strategic priorities and company-wide initiatives.
  • Drive a high-performance culture across all functions and businesses, while ensuring tight alignment to support delivery excellence, scalability, and evolving business needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of each service line, including Technology Services, Management Consulting, and Marketing Agency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance service line performance, drive growth, and improve client satisfaction.
