What You Will Do

  • Provide advanced support for z/OS and z/VM systems, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Conduct performance analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize system configurations.
  • Plan and manage system capacity to ensure efficient operations and scalability.
  • Configure and maintain subsystems such as SYSPLEX, USS, RACF, DFSort, Syncsort, DirMaint, Shared Segments, Saved Systems, and VM service machines.
  • Apply diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve system issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and services.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 system support.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies, applying this knowledge to improve system efficiency and security.

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced knowledge of z/OS and z/VM systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with subsystems such as SYSPLEX, USS, RACF, DFSort, Syncsort, DirMaint, Shared Segments, Saved Systems, and VM service machines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • A track record of continuous learning and professional development, preferably with certifications in related fields.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is desirable.
