Job Description

About the Role

The Systems Architect will play a critical role in designing, evolving, and optimizing the core infrastructure that supports mission-critical systems across the organization. This is a highly visible opportunity to influence enterprise architecture decisions and partner with IT leaders and technical teams to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.

As a key member of the IT team, the Systems Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the organization's IT technology and operations in relation to its IT strategy. This will involve overseeing multiple architecture domains, including application, data, security, and technology, and ensuring they align with the organization's standards.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. They will be able to translate business needs into modern, efficient architectural designs and collaborate with systems architects to create roadmaps for all domains.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain technology standards and processes for multiple IT domains
  • Review goals, processes, and resource expenditures to recommend the necessary resources to support the organization's mission and strategy
  • Collaborate with systems architects to create roadmaps for all domains and determine operational gaps
  • Develop methods for improvement and propose process improvements to help align organizational strategies with IT teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Create, maintain, and enforce technology standards and processes for multiple IT domains
  • Review existing processes and propose process improvements
  • Work with systems architects to create roadmaps for all domains
  • Determine operational gaps and develop methods for improvement
  • Ensure the alignment of organizational strategies with IT teams

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent years of experience and education
  • Seven years of experience in a related field
  • Strong technical infrastructure experience, including compute platforms, network protocols, storage technologies, data centers, and cloud environments
  • Expert-level knowledge of virtualization and cloud platforms, with a proven ability to translate business needs into modern, efficient architectural designs
  • Experience in cloud strategy and hybrid environments, with AWS expertise highly valued
  • An AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Nice to Have

  • Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with cloud-based project management tools
