About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Partner role at A-Players is a unique blend of business strategy and recruitment expertise. As a key member of the team, you will act as a business-facing hiring operator, owning client relationships end-to-end and delivering high-impact hires that drive business growth. This is not a traditional recruitment role; it requires a deep understanding of the tech industry, the ability to analyze complex market trends, and the skill to make informed, data-driven decisions.Day-to-day, you will work closely with founders and C-level leaders to understand their hiring goals, design tailored hiring strategies, and execute searches across various roles, including engineering, product, marketing, and leadership. Your ability to think critically, manage multiple searches simultaneously, and prioritize quality over volume will be essential in this position.
A-Players operates on a model of exclusivity with its clients, which means you will have the opportunity to embed deeply into client teams, understand their business context, and contribute to shaping their hiring strategies. This approach allows for a more meaningful and impactful hiring process, focusing on finding the right talent that can drive significant business outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Lead client kickoffs, clarifying hiring goals, success criteria, and constraints
- Design and execute hiring strategies, timelines, and scorecards
- Conduct weekly syncs with founders and hiring managers to ensure alignment and progress
- Own the offer strategy, negotiation, and closing process
- Work on 3-4 active roles at a time, prioritizing quality and impact
- Hire across various functions, including Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Leadership
- Represent A-Players as a trusted hiring partner, maintaining high standards of excellence and empathy
- Utilize AI-native tools for role analysis, market mapping, candidate analysis, and communication
- Guide candidates through the hiring process, from initial contact to onboarding
- Conduct deep, structured interviews focusing on skills, mindset, and A-Player traits
- Assess candidates beyond job titles, considering motivation, decision-making, ownership, and growth trajectory
What We Are Looking For
- Proven track record of recruiting in US and/or EU markets
- Confidence in working directly with founders and senior stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple searches without compromising depth or quality
- Strong understanding of business impact and the ability to think in terms of recruitment strategy
- High self-direction and comfort with owning outcomes end-to-end
- Strong English skills (Upper-Intermediate or higher, written and spoken)
- Ability to overlap 2-4 hours with US time zones
- Full-time availability, with a commitment to dedicating the necessary time and effort to this role
- Experience working in an AI-native way, using AI tools for daily workflow, research, market mapping, candidate analysis, and communication
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI tools beyond basic usage, including integration into recruitment processes
- Knowledge of the tech startup ecosystem in the US and EU
- Certification in recruitment or a related field
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team of recruiters or talent acquisition professionals
