About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist role at Flynn Group of Companies is a fully remote position responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring craft professionals and field employees. As a key member of the recruitment team, you will develop and execute creative recruiting strategies to attract top talent in competitive construction markets. You will partner closely with Operations leaders and Hiring Managers to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities, ensuring that the company's growth objectives are met.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping the organization continue to grow while supporting the careers of skilled trades professionals across North America.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute creative recruiting strategies to attract top craft and field talent in competitive construction markets
  • Partner closely with Operations leaders and Hiring Managers to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities
  • Source candidates through online platforms, industry networks, referrals, database searches, job boards, social media, community outreach, and recruiting events
  • Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future openings
  • Conduct phone screenings and interviews to evaluate skills, qualifications, and cultural fit
  • Coordinate candidate communications and manage the recruitment process from sourcing through onboarding
  • Promote employer branding initiatives to strengthen candidate attraction efforts
  • Track recruitment metrics and provide updates to leadership regarding hiring progress and market trends
  • Develop relationships with trade schools, workforce development organizations, industry associations, and community partners
  • Support workforce planning initiatives and hard-to-fill recruiting efforts across multiple geographic regions
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company hiring practices

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in the construction industry
  • Fluent bilingual communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Proven experience recruiting for craft, field, skilled trades, or labor-intensive construction positions
  • Experience utilizing ATS platforms and recruiting technologies
  • Strong sourcing expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, social media, and networking strategies
  • Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills

  • Knowledge of construction industry trends and developments
  • Certification in recruitment or human resources, such as SHRM-CP or PHR
