Job Description

About the Role

The Talent Development Lead role at Jobs for Humanity is a strategic position that will drive the creation and delivery of a comprehensive talent development strategy, focusing on fostering innovation, facilitating investment, and coordinating efforts across the nuclear industry. This 12-month fixed-term contract role will oversee the subsequent implementation of the strategy, covering apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and other new initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that training needs are met, and employees develop the skills required to deliver and progress.

As a business-facing role, the Talent Development Lead will be responsible for creating and delivering a variety of learning programs, including leadership development, technical training, and soft skills development. This will involve utilizing a mix of instructional methods to cater to different learning styles and preferences, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

The role will involve managing a team to deliver flexible learning interventions for GBE-N employees, ensuring they comply with industry standards and legal requirements. The successful candidate will also facilitate performance reviews, provide feedback to employees, and identify high-potential employees to develop tailored development plans.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver and oversee the talent development strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives
  • Manage a team to deliver flexible learning interventions for GBE-N employees, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal requirements
  • Undertake performance improvement and knowledge transfer, facilitating performance reviews and providing feedback to employees
  • Design and deliver a variety of learning programs, including leadership development, technical training, and soft skills development
  • Utilize a mix of instructional methods to cater to different learning styles and preferences
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Identify and address challenges related to talent development and performance management
  • Develop innovative solutions to improve learning and development initiatives
  • Analyze data and metrics to measure the impact of training programs and make data-driven decisions
  • Collaborate with other HR functions, such as talent acquisition and compensation, to ensure a seamless employee experience
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including department heads and employees
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences and events

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven track record of experience in talent development, learning and development, or a related field
  • Comprehensive understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and performance management frameworks
  • Familiarity with various learning delivery methods, including classroom, e-learning, and blended learning
  • Strong knowledge of talent management practices, including succession planning, career development, and performance management
  • Proficient in learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant technologies
  • Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
