About the Role
LTD Global is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to support its US-based clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in high-volume individual and business tax preparation, with the ability to work independently and manage complex returns. The role will involve preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing excellent client service.The Tax Preparer will be part of a remote team and will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality results. What You Will Do
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including 1040, 1120, and 1065 forms
- Manage workpapers, trial balances, and book-to-tax adjustments
- Prepare and review short-term and long-term rental activities, including Airbnb
- Prepare and review K-1s and proper flow-through treatment
- Manage multi-state and SALT filings, including apportionment
- Prepare and review client correspondence and tax notice resolution, including IRS and FTB
- Utilize UltraTax CS and QuickBooks Online to prepare and review tax returns
- Manage client relationships and provide excellent client service
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality results
What We Are Looking For
- At least 4 years of direct tax preparation experience
- 300+ individual tax returns prepared
- 150+ business tax returns prepared
- Proficiency in UltraTax CS and QuickBooks Online
- Strong knowledge of individual and business tax preparation, including 1040, 1120, and 1065 forms
- Experience with workpapers, trial balances, and book-to-tax adjustments
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage complex returns
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with cost segregation and depreciation concepts
- Knowledge of stock-based compensation, including ISOs, NSOs, and RSUs
- Experience with Section 1031 like-kind exchanges
- Familiarity with client correspondence and tax notice resolution, including IRS and FTB
