About the Role
The Tax Senior Analyst position at Equinix is a critical role that involves managing indirect tax accounting activities across the EMEA region. As a key member of the EMEA Tax Department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and laws. The Tax Senior Analyst will report directly to the Senior Indirect Tax Manager EMEA and will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance across all Equinix legal entities in the EMEA region. This role requires strong analytical and numerical skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What You Will Do
- Prepare VAT returns, EU VAT listings, and other local reporting, including Intrastat declarations for Equinix countries in EMEA
- Process, record, and report all Indirect Tax accounting activities accurately and timely
- Monthly VAT account reconciliations between the general ledger, VAT returns, and VAT listings
- Prepare annual VAT reconciliations for submission to Revenue authorities
- Provide instructions for journal entries for VAT account clearing
- Review customer and vendor invoices, including employee expenses, to ensure correct VAT reporting
- Request tax residence certificates and other necessary tax documentation
- Manage internal auditor requests and assist with VAT audits
- Enhance master data and upstream processes for improved VAT reporting
- Support various projects, including new legal entity acquisitions, product rollouts, and system enhancements
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on indirect tax matters
What We Are Looking For
- Strong background in Indirect Tax accounting, preferably within an international context
- Experience in tax and/or finance department of a multinational enterprise is advantageous but not mandatory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud is a plus
- Interest in AI & Automation tools
- Fluency in English and Polish (written and spoken) is required
- Strong motivation to thrive in a diverse international environment
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to procedures
- Proactive and adaptable, especially during high workload periods
- Hands-on mentality with a strong desire to learn and grow

Nice to Have
- Experience in automating digital reporting (e.g., SAF-T files, e-invoicing implementation) is preferred
- Knowledge of VAT laws and regulations in the EMEA region
- Certification in tax accounting or a related field
