About the Role

The Team Lead - FPGA Development will be responsible for defining and implementing chip-level features and technical requirements for the Graphite Switcher team at Ross Video. This role is crucial in driving the development of innovative solutions and ensuring the team delivers high-quality designs. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of system architecture, design implementation, and strong coding and verification skills.

As a senior developer, the Team Lead will be responsible for guiding the team to deliver optimal methodology for design implementation. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the FPGA designs into the larger system.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with current AMD (Xilinx) and Altera (Intel) devices, as well as associated design and debugging tools. They will also have strong Verilog and SystemVerilog coding and verification skills, along with familiarity with C, C++, and other design languages.

What You Will Do

  • Define and implement chip-level features and technical requirements for the Graphite Switcher team
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of system architecture and design implementation
  • Guide the team to deliver optimal methodology for design implementation
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of FPGA designs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure design requirements are met
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members
  • Collaborate with other senior developers to drive innovation and best practices
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure designs meet company standards
  • Develop and maintain documentation of design decisions and trade-offs

What We Are Looking For

  • Senior-level FPGA design knowledge and experience
  • Strong system architecture and design implementation skills
  • Experience working with current AMD (Xilinx) and Altera (Intel) devices
  • Strong Verilog and SystemVerilog coding and verification skills
  • Familiarity with C, C++, and other design languages
  • Above-average Windows and Linux computer skills
  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering or a related area with appropriate experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
