About the Role
As a Team Lead at Twilio, you will be part of the Emerging Technologies team, driving innovation and experimentation to stay ahead in the evolving tech landscape. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional partners to design and build new product ideas, leveraging modern technologies and problem-solving abilities. You will be accountable for enabling rapid experimentation and driving technical direction in partnership with the ETI tech lead.The Team Lead role is a high-impact opportunity for growth and learning, helping Twilio experiment and stay ahead in the tech landscape. You will work closely with the incubation lab, Twilio Forward, where boundaries are pushed, and next-era growth is unlocked. What You Will Do
- Architect and deliver high-stakes prototypes and production-ready solutions
- Spearhead AI R&D and collaborate with cross-functional teams to experiment with and integrate AI, machine learning, and frontier technologies
- Champion engineering excellence and establish governance for code reviews
- Influence and evangelize complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders and engineering peers
- Drive agility and navigate ambiguity, rapidly pivoting technical strategies in response to shifting requirements
- Collaborate with the ETI tech lead to enable rapid experimentation and drive technical direction
- Design and build new product ideas, leveraging modern technologies and problem-solving abilities
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to drive business growth and innovation
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
- Strong skills in Excel, AI, and machine learning
- Experience with rapid prototyping and experimentation
- Ability to drive technical direction and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving abilities and engineering expertise
- Experience with modern technologies and architectures
