Job Description

About the Role

The Team Manager - Insurance position at DXC Technology is a key role focused on leading a team to achieve production targets and ensure the smooth operation of insurance-related processes. This involves managing a team of professionals, overseeing workflow, and maintaining high-quality standards. As a team manager, you will be responsible for forecasting workloads, managing in-day performance, and collaborating with colleagues to resolve capacity challenges. The role requires strong leadership, interpersonal, and customer relationship skills.

Day-to-day, you will be working closely with your team to distribute work effectively, reprioritize tasks as needed, and ensure that all work meets agreed service levels for quality and turnaround times. You will also be responsible for conducting regular performance reviews, coaching, and developing team members to address training needs.

What You Will Do

  • Forecast workloads and resource requirements using the ControliQ methodology to drive performance improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of time allocation and diverted activities
  • Monitor in-day performance against work plans
  • Manage workflow by distributing work effectively and reprioritizing where needed
  • Produce and maintain a balanced capacity plan aligned to business needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve capacity challenges
  • Support quality, control, and compliance standards, including ISAE audit controls
  • Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews (PDRs)
  • Coach and develop team members, identifying and addressing training needs
  • Manage absence in line with company policy
  • Deliver team briefings on daily, weekly, and monthly priorities

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience managing a team, preferably in the insurance or London Market sector
  • Strong numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiation abilities
