About the Role

Speechify Inc is seeking a Tech Lead, Android Core Product to support the growth of its Android app and work on new projects. The ideal candidate will have experience building great user experiences, thinking strategically, and working in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own major features and work closely with the design team
  • Shape the future of the Android team
  • Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features
  • Participate in discussions across different teams
  • Review pull requests and support teammates
  • Handle critical issues and unexpected challenges

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Android components
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app
  • Product design intuition and user empathy
  • Understanding of the importance of tests and how to approach writing tests
