Job Description

## About the Role The Technical Account Manager role at Plaid is a strategic position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen. As a technical account manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of FinTech customers, providing them with technical guidance and support to help them achieve their business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and engineering, to ensure that customers receive the best possible experience with Plaid's products and services.

The role is based at Plaid's San Francisco HQ, but as a remote-friendly company, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about FinTech, has a strong technical background, and enjoys working with customers to drive growth and adoption of new technologies.

As part of the Technical Account Management team, you will be expected to own the long-term technical success of your customers, providing them with proactive strategic and technical guidance to help them achieve their goals. You will be the primary point of contact for technical issues and will work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve problems and identify opportunities for growth.

## What You Will Do - Manage a portfolio of FinTech customers, providing them with technical guidance and support to help them achieve their business objectives - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and engineering, to ensure that customers receive the best possible experience with Plaid's products and services - Develop and execute technical strategies to drive growth and adoption of Plaid's products and services - Provide proactive strategic and technical guidance to customers to help them achieve their goals - Identify opportunities to optimize customer integrations and drive adoption of new technologies - Establish and maintain deep relationships with technical stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, and C-level executives - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and identify opportunities for growth - Develop and deliver technical presentations and training sessions to customers and internal stakeholders - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the FinTech industry and apply this knowledge to drive growth and adoption of Plaid's products and services - Track customer integration health and feature adoption metrics, surfacing insights to improve product performance and shape future roadmap discussions

## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in a client-facing and technology-focused role, with a strong background in technical account management - Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to provide technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Strong technical expertise, with a deep understanding of FinTech and the latest trends and developments in the industry - Experience managing customer relationships independently and building and executing technical strategies to drive growth and adoption of new technologies - Demonstrated ability to tie technical solutions to business objectives, KPIs, and revenue outcomes - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and identify creative solutions - Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and engineering - Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the financial services industry and the latest trends and developments in FinTech

## Nice to Have - Experience working with Excel and other data analysis tools - Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or Java - Experience working with APIs and data integration platforms - Certification in technical account management or a related field
