About the Role

The Technical Account Manager role at Plaid is a unique opportunity to work with a cutting-edge fintech company that's revolutionizing the way people interact with their finances. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for Plaid's customers, providing technical guidance and support to ensure their success. You will work closely with the Partner Account Management team to identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions to meet those needs. Plaid's Technical Account Management team is a critical component of the company's customer success strategy. The team is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers, ensuring that they are able to fully leverage Plaid's products and services. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be an integral part of this team, working to build strong relationships with customers and drive customer satisfaction. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of customers, from small startups to large enterprises. You will need to be able to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing. You will also need to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage your time effectively, as you will be working on multiple customer accounts simultaneously.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers via phone, email, and other channels
  • Conduct integration reviews and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and training sessions to customers
  • Collaborate with Partner Account Managers to identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Plaid's products and services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in the fintech space
  • Participate in internal training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Support, Engineering, and Product, to resolve complex technical issues
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and resources for customers

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing, technology-focused role
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with APIs, system infrastructure, and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with a high volume of inbound requests
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple technical inquiries simultaneously
  • A customer-first mindset, with a passion for solving technical challenges efficiently
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to ensure customers receive the best possible experience
  • Strong understanding of the fintech industry and the needs of Plaid's customers
