About the Role
PlanetScale is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join its customer engineering team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for customers across a portfolio of enterprise accounts.Responsibilities
- Oversee the customer onboarding experience from evaluation to steady-state operations
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to track and advocate for customers' technical requirements
- Manage project milestone adjustments with customers
- Assist the Engineering team in collecting and prioritizing customer requirements
- Develop methodologies to enhance efficiency for individual customer engagement and support interactions
Requirements
- Conceptual understanding of deeply technical conversations
- Ability to make well-reasoned prioritization decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Empathy and patience when interacting with customers

- Be prepared to discuss your experience with database infrastructure and customer success metrics
