Job Description

About the Role

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) plays a vital role in driving the post-sales process with enterprise-level customers at Qualys. This involves articulating the company's technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, ensuring complete customer satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales process. The TAM must be able to identify technical and business issues of assigned accounts, providing timely solutions to maintain strong customer relationships.

As a key member of the Qualys team, the TAM works closely with various stakeholders, including Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams, to convey customer requirements and ensure that the company's products meet the evolving needs of its customers. This role requires a deep understanding of the security and compliance space, including vulnerability management, cloud security, policy compliance, and intrusion detection systems.

The TAM is also responsible for attending conferences, seminars, and other industry events, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a wide range of customers, from large enterprises to smaller businesses, and to develop a deep understanding of their technical and business needs.

What You Will Do

  • Provide product and technical support for assigned accounts
  • Identify and develop potential new business opportunities
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams
  • Provide functional and technical support to customers
  • Respond to customer questions on technical and business-related issues
  • Deliver high-level and detailed sales presentations
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and other industry events
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities

What We Are Looking For

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in a technical account management or related role
  • Strong knowledge of security and compliance space, including vulnerability management, cloud security, and policy compliance
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with enterprise-level customers
  • Knowledge of federal regulatory compliance issues, such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, and Sarbanes-Oxley

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with 'Big 4' or similar consulting firms
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection systems, network scanners, and PCI compliance
  • Experience with audit tools and other enterprise security solutions
  • Familiarity with cloud security platforms and technologies
