About the Role

The Technical Account Manager role at Posthog is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth and revenue from existing customers, as well as identifying new sales opportunities. You will work closely with the sales team to develop and execute account plans, and collaborate with the product team to provide feedback and insights on customer needs.

The role is based in San Francisco, but Posthog is a remote-friendly company, and you will have the opportunity to work with a global team. You will report to Simon Fisher, the Manager of the Product-led Sales team.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute account plans to drive growth and revenue from existing customers
  • Identify new sales opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to pursue them
  • Work closely with the product team to provide feedback and insights on customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including technical and business leaders
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers
  • Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Analyze customer data and provide insights to inform sales and marketing strategies
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Posthog's products and services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive sales and growth

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical account management or sales role, preferably in the digital marketing or software industry
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze customer data and provide insights to inform sales and marketing strategies
  • Experience working with remote teams and collaborating with stakeholders across different time zones
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and sales automation tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with product-led sales teams and driving growth through customer success
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or JavaScript
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Certification in sales or marketing, such as HubSpot or Google Analytics
