Job Description

About the Role

As a Technical Consultant at Salesforce, you will be part of the Professional Services team within the Customer Success Group. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver solutions that transform customers' businesses and their customers' experiences. This involves working closely with teams to discover, design, code, and deploy Salesforce Platform solutions. The role is highly technical, requiring hands-on experience with Salesforce products and the ability to evaluate and implement technical solutions for customers.

Technical Consultants at Salesforce are expected to demonstrate technical thought leadership in customer and partner engagements, leading to the successful delivery of solutions. This includes enterprise integrations using middleware tools and platforms. Through an extended onboarding program, you will become a Salesforce Domain Authority, delivering outstanding customer success.

The team you will be working with is dedicated to delivering strategic engagements that define transformational opportunities and articulate clear plans for execution of change programs. Your expertise and specialisms will be crucial in engaging with executive-level customers to agree on specific business goals and actions to ignite the full value of Salesforce.

What You Will Do

  • Work closely with customers to understand their business goals and develop solutions to meet their needs
  • Design, code, and deploy Salesforce Platform solutions
  • Evaluate and implement technical solutions for customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
  • Provide technical leadership in customer and partner engagements
  • Identify and proactively handle risk areas and contribute to seeing issues through to project completion
  • Develop and maintain technical design documents and application integration plans
  • Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues
  • Drive the creation of application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce best practices
  • Deliver high client satisfaction (CSAT)
  • Provide guidance on the application and integration development best practices

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong technical skills in Salesforce and related technologies
  • Experience with enterprise integrations using middleware tools and platforms
  • Ability to evaluate and implement technical solutions for customers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and Salesforce ecosystem
  • Formal certification in Salesforce or willingness to obtain

  • Knowledge of extended onboarding programs and hands-on experience with other Consultants, Architects, and Project Managers
  • Familiarity with internal training and knowledge transfer processes
