About the Role
The Technical Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy for Alpaca's Trading API. This role is ideal for a skilled content marketer with a technical background, who can create engaging content for a diverse audience of developers, traders, and fintech professionals. As a key member of the marketing team, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive awareness, adoption, and engagement of the Trading API.The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for creating compelling content that resonates with technical audiences. You will have a deep understanding of the fintech and trading technology landscape, as well as experience in driving content marketing initiatives that deliver measurable results.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy for Alpaca's Trading API, aligning with business objectives and growth goals
- Create high-quality, engaging content for various audiences, including developers, traders, and fintech professionals
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, engineering, and sales teams, to stay informed about product updates and market trends
- Conduct research to identify content opportunities and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
- Write and edit educational and product-driven content, such as tutorials, explainers, launch posts, feature spotlights, and technical thought leadership pieces
- Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring consistent publication of high-quality content
- Analyze content performance, tracking engagement metrics and adjusting the content strategy accordingly
- Support go-to-market (GTM) efforts with launch messaging, website copy, and supporting content assets
- Ensure technical content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with Alpaca's brand and product positioning
- Identify and pursue opportunities for content syndication, guest blogging, and other forms of content collaboration
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, content strategy, technical writing, or a related role
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Experience creating content for software, APIs, fintech, or other technical products
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders, including product, engineering, and sales teams
- Strong understanding of the fintech and trading technology landscape
- Experience with content management systems, such as WordPress or Ghost
- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track and analyze content performance metrics
Nice to Have
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, such as Marketo or Pardot
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to create interactive content experiences
- Knowledge of design principles and visual storytelling techniques
- Experience with video production and editing software, such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro
