About the Role
As a Technical Customer Success Manager at Sentry, you will be responsible for ensuring customers are successfully onboarded and achieve maximum value from the Sentry platform. You will work closely with Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Engineering teams to drive customer success and health. With a strong technical background and business skills, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their technical and business goals.The Technical Customer Success team at Sentry is expanding to support the company's growing customer base, and this role will play a critical part in driving deeper adoption of the Sentry platform worldwide. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of customers from different industries, each with their unique challenges and goals.
Sentry's hybrid work model allows for flexibility and collaboration, with Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays set as in-office anchor days. This role requires a strong technical understanding and the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Become a Sentry product expert and support customers in achieving their goals using the Sentry platform
- Drive customer success and health through effective onboarding, adoption, value realization, and retention
- Collaborate with customer key stakeholders to define business and technical objectives
- Work with the customer team to achieve their objectives and drive best practices
- Partner closely with the sales team to identify and drive expansions and new opportunities
- Advocate for customers internally and communicate their needs to prioritize improvements
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the customer's technical and business environment
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to customer success
- Provide feedback to the product and engineering teams to improve the Sentry platform
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
What We Are Looking For
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Management Consulting, or another customer-facing role
- Strong technical background and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and related technologies
- Experience working with complex, multi-divisional, and multi-geographical customers
- Impressive executive presence and communication abilities
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong industry experience and technical understanding related to Devs, DevOps, application monitoring, software release tools, and/or broader cloud-native application infrastructure platforms
- Ability to understand customer needs and communicate them effectively to the internal teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
Nice to Have
- Experience with Excel and data analysis
- Knowledge of cloud-native application infrastructure platforms
- Familiarity with open-source technologies
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Certification in a related field, such as ITIL or Scrum Master
