Job Description

About the Role

The Technical Design Authority position at GTT is a critical role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, innovative thinking, and collaborative mindset. As a Technical Design Authority, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, and managing technical collateral to support strategic objectives and develop standard offerings and blueprint solutions in the security area. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales engineers, product management, and operations to ensure seamless integration of security solutions. The role will also involve participating in the presales process, providing expert advice on security posture, and supporting the development of technical standards and reference architectures.

The Technical Design Authority will be an integral part of a team of highly skilled architects covering a broad range of technologies, including LAN/WAN, Voice, Network & Information Security, Internet Services, and UC Services. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of customers, providing bespoke security solutions tailored to their specific needs. Your expertise will be leveraged to create technical documentation, update standards and guidelines, and provide expert advice on security topics.

What You Will Do

  • Design bespoke customer network security models, reviewing and approving advanced security configurations and best practices
  • Participate in the presales process, supporting sales engineers with positioning the right security posture to customers
  • Monitor industry networking security updates, technologies, and best practices to improve overall security management
  • Liaise with partners and vendors to fulfill agreed customer expectations
  • Produce and endorse technical standards, reference architecture, deployment guides, and technology roadmaps in close collaboration with product management
  • Create technical documentation, update standards, and guidelines
  • Engage in the implementation, testing, and handover of solutions to operations
  • Provide expert advice on security topics to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of GTT's security solutions and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security solutions

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in the network security industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Fortinet and Palo Alto security design concepts, implementation, and support
  • Experience working autonomously in a multi-vendor enterprise-scale environment
  • Working knowledge of ITIL V3 and other technology methodologies
  • Strong understanding of SASE and SSE environments and concepts
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies, such as Aruba Edgeconnect, VMWare Velocloud, and Forti Secure SD-WAN
  • Technical lead experience during project planning, management, and implementation of client solutions
  • Ability to create security posture standards for end-clients and review them regularly

Nice to Have

  • Offensive or defensive hacking knowledge
  • Experience with multi-platform design, implementation, and support
  • Familiarity with Lan/Wan, Voice, Network & Information Security, Internet Services, and UC Services
