About the Role
The Technical Estimator position at OfficeTwo is a critical component of the company's pre-construction operations. As a Technical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team by coordinating estimating efforts, reviewing scopes of work, and maintaining accurate project information. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the pre-construction process.The role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with construction-related software and tools. OfficeTwo is committed to improving and systemizing workflows through the use of advanced technologies like JobTread and AI-assisted processes. As such, the company is looking for someone who is not only proficient in Excel but also eager to learn and adapt to new operational construction workflows.
What You Will Do
- Review plans and construction-related documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support scope writing and proposal organization, ensuring that all necessary information is included and up-to-date
- Utilize JobTread to manage and update project information, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail
- Use Microsoft Excel and PDFs for documentation and estimating support, leveraging your technical skills to drive efficiency
- Review and refine AI-generated scopes of work for clarity and accuracy, applying your expertise to improve the quality of outputs
- Import and export scope details using CSV workflows, streamlining data management processes
- Help maintain organized and accurate project documentation, ensuring that all records are current and easily accessible
- Support the pre-construction team with operational coordination tasks, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Attend the office in Belgrano R once per week, promoting face-to-face interaction and teamwork
What We Are Looking For
- At least 1 year of previous work experience in a related field
- Advanced or fluent English, written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with detailed documents
- Organized, detail-oriented, and process-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfortable learning construction-related workflows and software, with a willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes
- Ability to manage repetitive detail work carefully and consistently, maintaining high standards of quality
- Availability to attend the office in Belgrano R once per week and work Monday through Friday during standard US business hours
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in construction, estimating, project coordination, or technical documentation, offering a deep understanding of industry practices and challenges
- Familiarity with JobTread or similar operational systems, providing a foundation for quick integration into the company's workflow
- Experience working with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, demonstrating an ability to leverage technology for enhanced productivity
- Experience reviewing scopes of work, proposals, or technical documentation, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
