Job Description

About the Role

The Technical Project Lead/Manager SDM will play a critical role in leading end-to-end technical project delivery for Damia Group, a leading player in the telecom industry. This role entails managing complex technical projects, troubleshooting issues, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and customers. As a seasoned technical project leader, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and customer support, to ensure that project goals are aligned with business objectives. Your technical expertise, combined with your leadership skills, will enable you to navigate complex technical issues, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive project success.

What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end technical project delivery, including project planning, execution, and closure
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop creative solutions to resolve them
  • Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation plans, and project schedules
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including project plans, reports, and presentations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to develop their technical and leadership skills
  • Participate in review meetings, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in the telecom industry
  • Deep knowledge of 4G and 5G technologies, including call flows, network architecture, and protocols
  • Strong understanding of telecom technologies, including Packet Core, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and IoT
  • Proven experience in managing complex technical projects, including project planning, execution, and delivery
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Fluency in English (B2) and Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
  • Availability for a hybrid work model, with 2 days per week in Lisbon

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agile project management methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, including ITIL
  • Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2
  • Experience with cloud-based project management tools, including Asana, Trello, or Jira
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes
