About the Role
The Technical Recruiter | Design role at Ramp is a critical component of the company's growth strategy, responsible for identifying, assessing, and hiring exceptional design talent. As a key member of the recruiting team, you will partner with design leadership to define hiring needs, calibrate talent, and drive the hiring process from inception to close. Your expertise in design recruiting, combined with your ability to build relationships and leverage AI in recruiting, will be essential in fostering connections with top designers and driving business growth.The design team at Ramp is core to the company's product development, and this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the team's composition and capabilities. As a Technical Recruiter, you will be responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting across Product Design, Design Engineering, and Brand Design. This will involve identifying and engaging talent through various channels, including events, referrals, and industry channels. Your ability to build relationships with designers, hiring managers, and senior leaders will be crucial in driving the hiring process and ensuring that the company attracts the best talent in the market.
What You Will Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting across Product Design, Design Engineering, and Brand Design, including defining hiring needs, identifying talent, and driving the hiring process from inception to close
- Partner with design leadership to calibrate talent, assess candidate profiles, and drive the hiring process
- Build relationships with designers through referrals, events, and ongoing engagement with the design community
- Identify and engage talent through various channels, including X, portfolio sites, and industry channels
- Leverage AI in recruiting to improve sourcing, candidate engagement, and execution
- Refine recruiting processes, leverage new tools, and drive continuous improvement in design recruiting
- Collaborate with the Design Program Manager and design team to strengthen Ramp's presence in the industry
- Develop and execute strategic plans to attract and retain top design talent
- Manage and track recruiting metrics, including time-to-hire, source of hire, and candidate satisfaction
- Provide feedback and coaching to hiring managers and interviewers to ensure a positive candidate experience
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of recruiting or sourcing experience, including experience hiring for Design roles
- Strong understanding of design principles and what differentiates great design talent
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and a track record of earning trust with candidates, hiring managers, and senior leaders
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and operational rigor
- An experimental mindset and a willingness to try new approaches to find, engage, and hire great talent
- Experience using AI in recruiting to improve sourcing, candidate engagement, and execution
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience hiring for technical roles, such as software engineering or product management
- Knowledge of design tools and software, including Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting software
- Familiarity with HR principles and employment laws
- Certification in recruiting or a related field
