About the Role
As a Technical Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of Atlas Material Testing's technology products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting tests, performing maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting issues to identify and resolve malfunctions. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide training on product operation and maintenance, and offer technical support to resolve problems. What You Will Do
- Conduct tests on instruments and mechanical components to verify or calibrate for correct operation
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions, replacing defective components, wiring, or software as needed
- Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC specifications
- Provide training to equipment users on operation, basic maintenance, and user calibration
- Prepare and present detailed quotes, agreements, and service reports, including pricing, discounts, and payment terms
- Create, maintain, and submit technical service records related to client activity
- Maintain working parts inventory levels and up-to-date calibration documentation
- Perform work according to Atlas process and quality standards
- Troubleshoot and solve problems within technical expertise
- Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or vocational technical school
- Electrical and mechanical training; or two years related technology support experience and/or training
- Experience reading and deciphering schematics and working with high voltage equipment and electrical devices
- Demonstrated mathematical aptitude involving practical algebraic and statistical methodologies
- Proficient with MS office windows and capable of navigating through systems and applications
- Valid driver's license required and may require a valid passport
- Previous job experience that requires extensive travel between work locations and remote sites
- Previous work experience within fast-paced, multi-task work environments
- Experience troubleshooting and solving problems within technical expertise
